Thomas Hooper

A material science researcher, with a background in physics, that specialises in the use of solid-state NMR for structural determination of functional materials. Currently funded by a Senior Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO) to develop bespoke NMR hardware and methodologies for studying optoelectronic semiconductor materials.

Current research topics:

–   Novel metal halide perovskite materials

–   Optoelectronic thin-films

–   Nuclear quadrupole resonance

–   In-situ NMR techniques

–   Synthetic porous materials

–   Polymers and hydrogels
